ANNA, Ill. -- Orley S. Culp, 89, of Burlington, Iowa, formerly of Cobden, Ill., died Monday, May 17, 1992, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.
He was born at Cobden, Ill., son of William G. and Flora M. Williams Culp.
He was married to Zella V. Watkins, who preceded him in death.
Culp worked as a machinist for C.B. & O. Railroad and Burlington Northern Railroad for 34 years. He retired in 1956.
He was a member of the Flint Hills Church of Nazarene, and the Grand Lodge of International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Culp of Carterville, Ill., and Lloyd Culp of Johnsonville, Tenn.; a brother, Delpherd Culp of Burlington, Iowa; a sister, Irene Weaver of Los Angeles, Calif.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother and a grandson.
Friends may call Wednesday evening in Burlington, Iowa.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Anna, Ill., with the Rev. Noel Taylor officiating.
Burial will follow in Ebenezer Hall Cemetery.
