EAST PRAIRIE -- Orin Andrew Ambrose Jr., 60, of East Prairie died Friday, May 10, 1991, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston following an extended illness.

He was born July 19, 1930, in Pensacola, Fla., the son of the late Orin Andrew Ambrose Sr. and Rose Williamson Ambrose.

He lived in East Prairie for the past 37 years, where he was the plant manager for the Prairie Manufacturing Co. until his retirement in February. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict, where he served in the U.S. Army.

On Nov. 22, 1969, he married the former Irene Lacey, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Andy Ambrose of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Rhonda Overman of Albuquerque, N.M.; two step-daughters, Jane Nichols of Canalou and Teresa Davis of Dexter; a brother, Charles F. Ambrose of Vidalia, Ga.; a sister, Mary Ellen Myers of Chattanooga, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie. The Rev. George White will officiate, and burial will be in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.

Visitation was Saturday at the funeral home.
