Orena Ancell

Orena Mae "Renee" Ancell, 99, of Sikeston, Mo., formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2008, at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston. She was born May 15, 1908, in Piggott, Ark., daughter of James Douglas and Sarah Winkleman Carter. She and Fred Moore Ancell were married Dec. 22, 1934, in Vienna, Ill. He died Dec. 29, 1988...

Orena Mae "Renee" Ancell, 99, of Sikeston, Mo., formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2008, at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.

She was born May 15, 1908, in Piggott, Ark., daughter of James Douglas and Sarah Winkleman Carter. She and Fred Moore Ancell were married Dec. 22, 1934, in Vienna, Ill. He died Dec. 29, 1988.

Ancell lived in Cape Girardeau many years and retired from Missouri Utilities Co. (now AmerenUE). She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jeff Long officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.
