DEXTER, Mo. -- Oralea "Lee" Hawley, 55, of Dexter died Friday, July 21, 2000, at her home.
She was born Sept. 9, 1944, in St. Louis, daughter of Walker and Lucille Louise Boyce Hudson. She and Jerry W. Hawley were married March 18, 1967, in St. Louis.
Mrs. Hawley moved to Dexter in 1967. She taught school in Southeast Missouri 27 years, and retired from the Bernie school system in 1999 where she was director of special education.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, SEMO Counselors Association, and L.A.S.E.
Surviving are her husband; a son, Michael Wayne Hawley of Dexter; a daughter, Karen Michelle Hawley of Springfield, Mo.; her mother-in-law, Delsie M. Hawley of Dexter; and sister-in-law, LaJuana Moore of Tulsa, Okla. Other relatives and many friends also survive.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Doyle Corlew officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
