SIKESTON, Mo. -- Ora Mae "Macey" Washington, 38, of Memphis, Tenn., died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis. She was born June 19, 1962, in Sikeston, daughter of Monroe and Ora Mae Moore Davis. She and Johnl Washington were married Aug. 23, 1981...

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Ora Mae "Macey" Washington, 38, of Memphis, Tenn., died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.

She was born June 19, 1962, in Sikeston, daughter of Monroe and Ora Mae Moore Davis. She and Johnl Washington were married Aug. 23, 1981.

Washington was a 1980 graduate of Sikeston High School. She was a doctor's assistant.

She moved to Memphis four months ago from Springfield, Mo.

Survivors include a son, Johnl Washington Jr.; three daughters, Kawana Gardener, Keita and Shana Washington, all of Springfield; her parents of Sikeston; four brothers, Ivory, Riley, Tony and Tephon Davis, all of Sikeston; and two sisters, Pearl Davis of Milwaukee, Wis., and Tawanda Washington of Sikeston.

Friends may call at Green Memorial Church of God In Christ after 11 a.m. Saturday.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church. Elder Nathaniel Green will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset of Memories Cemetery.

Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
