Ora Lee Hopkins, age 90, of Jackson passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021, at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 23, 1930, to Noah D. and Sarah Dockins Hopkins at Jackson. Ora and Helen Dummy was united in marriage on Dec. 23, 1971.
Ora Lee loved farming on his farm throughout his life and belong to the Trail Riders. He loved horses, dogs and all animals. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a motor mechanic specialist.
Ora Lee is survived by his wife, Helen Hopkins at the home; sisters, Dianna Caramico and Delores Poulos, both of Palatine, Illinois; three sister-in-law, Janet Hopkins, Anna May Crain and Doris Tucker; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, N.D., Harold Gene and Terry Lane Hopkins.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Jackson.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Janet Hopkins officiating.
Interment will take place in the Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
