CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Ora M. Hope, 89, of Chaffee died Friday, Feb. 7, 2003, in Rockview, Mo.
She was born Aug. 14, 1913, in Pulaski, Ill., daughter of Gary F. and Mary Wooly Kennedy. She and George William Hope were married in 1949 in Cape Girardeau. He died March 3, 1962.
Hope had worked at Crescent Cleaners, Parisian Cleaners, Ross Young Cleaners and Brune Cleaners, all in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Chaffee.
She moved to Cape Girardeau in 1930 from Gray's Point, Mo., and to Chaffee in 1969.
Survivors include two daughters, Norma Stidham of Rockview, Hope Huey of Chaffee; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons, a daughter, three brothers, three sisters, and a grandson.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau after 11 a.m. Monday.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Jack Bishop will officiate. Burial will be in Hobbs Chapel Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
