OPHIA COY

MORLEY, Mo. -- Funeral for Ophia "Peggy" Birdine Coy of Morley will be held at 2 p.m. today at New Life Christian Center Pentecostal Church. The Rev. Don Russell will officiate. Burial will be in New Morley Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church from noon until service time.

Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.

Coy, 78, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Aug. 5, 1922, at Morley, daughter of Asberry G. and Elma Swaim Emerson. She and Roy L. Coy were married Oct. 29, 1938, in Jackson, Mo.

Coy attended New Life Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Ronnie Coy of Fulton, N.Y., Dennis Coy of Madison, Ill., Steven Coy of Cincinnati, Ohio; a daughter, Faye Foster of Albuquerque, N.M.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and a sister.
