OPAL VICTORIA CHRONISTER

Opal Victoria Chronister, 77, 1066 Dorothy, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 1992, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.

She was born Feb. 19, 1914, in Obion County, Tenn., daughter of Joel D. and Elizabeth A. Gray Pearson. She married Gilbert "Jack" Chronister May 5, 1931, at Jackson. He died April 11, 1989.

Chronister worked 31 years at Carter Carburetor Co. in St. Louis, retiring in 1974. She moved back to Cape Girardeau in 1981 from Ellington. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church.

Survivors include a brother, Joel Pearson, and a sister, Patsy Duncan, both of Rome, Ga.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. S.S. Borum will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
