MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Opal S. Franklin, 64, of Mound City, died Monday, May 1, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
She was born Aug. 23, 1930, in Carroll County, Tenn., daughter of Ed and Margerete Campbell Chapman.
Survivors include four daughters, Sandra Menser of Fancy Farm, Ky., Goldie Menser of Wingo, Ky., Judy Vaughn of Jonesboro, Linda Franklin of Cairo; six sons, Billy, Bobby and Ronnie Woodworth of Mound City, Robert Woodworth of Louisville, Ky., David Woodworth of Anna, Jessie Franklin of Barlow, Ky.; 27 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, daughter and sister.
Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Mound City from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Goins officiating. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery at Mounds.
