JACKSON -- Opal Jewel Robb, 90, of Jackson died Monday, March 23, 1998, at Jackson Manor.
She was born Sept. 3, 1907, at Purman, daughter of John Harve and Mary Dorinda Asher Daubs. She and Clive Robb were married in 1927 at Doniphan. He died in 1958.
Robb moved to Cape Girardeau in 1938 from Poplar Bluff. She retired from Lowenbaum Dress Factory and served as secretary-treasurer of the Ladies Garment Workers Union. She was then a seamstress at Crews Decoration a number of years, and had been a volunteer at Glenn House Gift Shop.
Survivors include a son, Terry Robb of Carbondale, Ill.; two daughters, Connie Blattner and Willa Stanford of Jackson; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-7 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. David Schaffner officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
