PERRYVILLE -- Graveside service for Opal C. Patterson will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at Crossroads Methodist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Louella Lyon will officiate.

Young and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Patterson, 79, formerly of Perryville, died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 1998, at Country Villa Nursing Home in Humansville.

She was born Feb. 2, 1919, at Harviell, daughter of Chester and Elsie Stout Horn. She first married Andy Smith, who preceded her in death. She later married Patrick Patterson, who also preceded her in death.

Patterson retired from the food packaging department at Gilster-Mary Lee. She was a former member of Crossroads Church.

Survivors include a son, Lee Smith of DeLeon Springs, Fla.; three daughters, Norma Wieseman of St. Louis, Jean Reynolds of Bolivar, Freda LaRoe of Long Lane; a brother, Willis Horn of Perryville; four sisters, Ruby Clayton, Pearl Horn, Ioma Denton and Ruth Melton, addresses unknown; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister.
