JACKSON -- Opal Irene Morrison, 90, of Jackson died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 1999, at Jackson Manor.
She was born Feb. 4, 1909, in Cape Girardeau County, daughter of John Walter and Ollie Inez Hall Morrison.
Morrison owned and operated Opal's Restaurant several years, and also owned the former Jackson Hotel.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Altenthal-Joerns American Legion Auxiliary 158, Order of Eastern Star Chapter 91, and White Shrine of Jerusalem.
Survivors include a daughter, Virginia Sides of Jackson; a brother, Robert Morrison of Jackson; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, and a great-great-grandchild.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Nancy Gillard will officiate. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
