Opal Lee Amos, 82, 611 S. West End Boulevard, died Friday, Dec. 9, 1994, at Cape Girardeau Nursing Center.

She was born March 14, 1913, in Scott City, daughter of John and Winnie Bridges McKinney. She and Norman T. Amos were married July 29, 1940, in Jackson. He died Oct. 28, 1975.

Amos worked in the finishing department at Lowenbaum Dress Factory 25 years, retiring in 1974. She was a member of International Ladies Garment Workers Union.

Survivors include a son, Michael Amos of Chico, Calif.; two daughters, Barbara Williams of Anderson, Calif., Ruth Aldridge of South Fulton, Tenn.; a sister, Venita Arnold of Cobden, Ill.; eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Lorimier Cemetery, with the Rev. Charles Seabaugh officiating.

There is no visitation. Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
