Opal E. Hahn, 83, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, at Southeast Hospital.
She was born May 16, 1934, in Burfordville to August and Clara Nagel Meier. She and Delmar Lee Hahn were married June 18, 1955, in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death Dec. 28, 1997.
She graduated from Cape Girardeau Central High School in 1952 and attended two years at Southeast Missouri State University.
She had a 25-year banking career as a customer-service agent working at Capital Bank, Union Planters Bank and First Federal Savings and Loan Association.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include her daughter, Carole (David) Groen of Chesterfield, Missouri; and four grandchildren, Heather Holdman, Amber Brown, Andrea Bogenpohl and Jamie Birk.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents; one daughter, Cheryl S. Birk; one son, Dennis Hahn; and two sisters, Mabel Albrecht and Lucille Connoley.
Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Daniel Maske officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church.
