Funeral for Opal Odessa Cornman of Kansas City will be held at 2 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Clayton Smith will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the chapel from 1 p.m. until service time.
Cornman, 91, died Monday, March 23, 1998, at Bishop-Spencer Nursing Home in Kansas City.
She was born Dec. 3, 1906, at Oak Ridge, daughter of Robert Friedrick and Alma Augusta Haupt Riehn. She and Norman Cornman were married March 21, 1947, in Mayfield, Ky. He died Nov. 15, 1991.
Cornman had been an inspector at Florsheim Shoe Co., retiring in 1966. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and its Wesley Sunday School Class. She had lived in Cape Girardeau most of her life, moving to Kansas City about 18 months ago.
Survivors include a daughter, Leila Potts of Overland Park, Kan.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
