CHAFFEE -- Opal Bond, 85, of Chaffee, died Wednesday, May 22, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 12, 1911, at Kerrville, daughter of Robert Andrew and Mary Evangeline Fulbright Moore. She married Cecil Bond, who died March 7, 1983.

Bond was a member of Missionary Baptist Church at Perkins, and had served as music director, secretary and treasurer. She was also a member of Perkins Needle Club.

Survivors include two sons, Bobbie "Sonny" Bond of Salt Lake City, Utah, Gary Bond, Chaffee Route 2; two daughters, LaDonna Blechle of Jackson, Norma Bollinger of Marble Hill; a sister, Dessie Drum of Oak Ridge; 11 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Missionary Baptist Church in Perkins, with the Rev. Jack Hargraves officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
