ADVANCE -- Opal Bell McFerron, 84, of Arnold, died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1993, in St. Louis. She was born March 14, 1908, in Bollinger County, daughter of Peter and Alice Revelle Winchester. She and Claude McFerron were married March 14, 1933, in Piggott, Ark. He died Nov. 21, 1962...

ADVANCE -- Opal Bell McFerron, 84, of Arnold, died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1993, in St. Louis.

She was born March 14, 1908, in Bollinger County, daughter of Peter and Alice Revelle Winchester. She and Claude McFerron were married March 14, 1933, in Piggott, Ark. He died Nov. 21, 1962.

McFerron was a member of First Baptist Church at Farmington.

Survivors include four daughters, Louise Volner of Arnold, Barbara Roberts of Fort Meyers, Fla., Hope Lawrence of Bridgeton, Faye Nelson of St. Charles; two brothers, Milford Winchester of Advance, Elvis Winchester of Union; two sisters, Helen Boyd and Hazel Call of Marble Hill; 11 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

Two brothers preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. The Rev. Clinton Woodfin will officiate, with burial in Morgan Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
