ONNA YERKES

ANNA, Ill. -- Onna E. Yerkes, 95, of Anna died Wednesday, May 19, 1999, at City Care Center in Anna.

She was born Oct. 5, 1903, at Eddyville, Mo., daughter of John Prince and Melissa Jane Yates Goot. She and Joe Yerkes were married. He died Sept. 23, 1965.

Yerkes was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anna and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW in Anna.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and four sisters.

Private graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m. today at Anna Cemetery, with the Rev. Tom Miller officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.

Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna is in charge of arrangements.
