ONALD WEIR

Ronald O. Weir, 65, of Desloge, Mo., died Friday, Sept. 22, 2000, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born Aug. 1, 1935, in Lawrenceville, Ill., son of Herman O. and Mildred Bell Arbuthnot Weir.

He was the former publisher of the Daily Journal in Park Hills, Mo.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Snider Weir of Desloge; two sons, Rodney Weir of Cape Girardeau and Eric Weir of Fenton, Mo.; two daughters, Glenna Worland of Fenton and Tonji Asher of Ellisville, Mo.; four sisters, Mary Lou Large and Joan Moan of Lawrenceville, Pauline Cunningham of Belpre, Ohio, and Zelma Childress of Crown Point, Ind.; and five grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Don Stanley officiating. Burial will be in St. Francois Memorial Park.
