PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Funeral for Omer C. Lyles of Perryville will be held at 7 p.m. today at Young and Sons Funeral Home. The Rev. Gerold McBride will officiate.
Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Pulliam Cemetery in Patton, Mo., with the Rev. Randy Miller officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 3-7 p.m. today, and Thursday from 9-9:30 a.m.
Lyles, 89, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2001, at Perry County Nursing Home.
He was born Feb. 11, 1911, in Turkey, Texas, son of Matthew Walter and Minnie Payne Lyles. He first married Gladys V. DeRoy. He later married Hazel C. Masters July 10, 1961. She died May 27, 1999.
Lyles retired as a machinist from Lincoln Engineering in St. Louis. He was a member of Little Whitewater Baptist Church at Patton.
Survivors include a daughter, Judith Haynes of St. Louis; a brother, Roy Lyles of Canyon, Texas; two sisters, Harges Lyles and Helen Lyles of Amarillo, Texas; two granddaughters; and two great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by a brother and six sisters.
