JACKSON -- Oma Lee Meier, 70, of Jackson, died Monday, June 26, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 30, 1925, at Jackson, daughter of Luther Ray and Alice Miller Crites. She and Marvin H. Meier were married Feb. 8, 1942. He died Nov. 17, 1993.

Meier moved to Jackson in 1981 from Dexter. She was a member of Emanuel United Church of Christ and its Bethany Circle, Order of Eastern Star in Jackson, Eastside Homemakers Club, Southeast Missouri Scottish Rite Women's Club, and American Legion Auxiliary in Jackson.

Survivors include a son, Marvin Meier of Festus; two daughters, Sondra Spinks of O'Fallon, Loretta Hunter of Pensacola, Fla.; two sisters, Loretha Niswonger and Noma Noland of Jackson; five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home after 4 p.m. today, and until 1 p.m. Wednesday. An Order of Eastern Star service will be held at 7 tonight.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Emanuel Church, with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
