ANNA, Ill. — Ollie Bernice Eudy, 83, of Anna, formerly of Jonesboro, Illinois, died at 3:50 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2017, in Union County Long Term Care.
She was born Aug. 26, 1933, in Jonesboro, the daughter of Fred and Laverne Toler Mayberry. She married Ernest Earl “Bus” Eudy on Sept. 30, 1949, in Jonesboro. He preceded her in death Oct. 24, 2006.
Ollie is survived by her son, Ernie Eudy of Buchanan, Tennessee; brother, Larry (Kathy) Mayberry of Michigan; grandchildren, Elizabeth Eudy and Quinn (Tara) Eudy; great-grandchild, Ryland Eudy; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest Earl “Bus” Eudy; son, Eddie Eudy; and sister and brother, Mary Ann O’Neal and Paul Mayberry.
Ollie was a member of Anna Heights Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing and was very active with the church bus ministry for many years. She worked as a beautician most of her life.
The funeral service for Ollie Eudy will be at 2 p.m. today at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with the Rev. Darryl Williams officiating. Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery.
