PORTAGEVILLE -- Funeral service for Oliver Chester Dale of Babson Park, Fla., was held Thursday at First Church of God, with the Rev. Mel Rhodes officiating. Burial was in Portageville Cemetery.
DeLisle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Dale, 83, died Monday, Feb. 6, 1995, at his home.
He was born Feb. 1, 1912, in Gage, Okla., son of John and Maude Richards Dale.
Dale served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was formerly of Portageville.
Survivors include two daughters, Marian Dale of Topeka, Kan., Linda Thompson of Babson Park; two brothers, Homer Dale of Washington state, John Dale of Caruthersville; two sisters, Bessie Crawford and Carolyn Kirby of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; a sister and two brothers.
