CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Olie Dixon, 97, of Charleston died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, at Bertrand Retirement Home.
He was born June 15, 1903, in Crosno, Mo., son of Will and Callie Lewis Dixon. He married Eather Scott, who preceded him in death.
Dixon was retired from farming.
Survivors include four sons, Gilbert Dixon of Hayti, Mo., David, James and William Dixon, all of Charleston; three daughters, Clara Griffin of Benton Harbor, Mich., Mary Davis of Detroit, Mich., Frances Hines of Charleston; 43 grandchildren; and 67 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Sparks Funeral Home after 10 a.m. Friday.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Sylvester Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
