JONESBORO, Ill. -- Olen H. Wilson, 84, Jonesboro, Ill. died at home Friday, Aug. 6, 1993. He was born Sept. 9, 1908 at Alto Pass, Ill., the son of Calvin and Emma Stone Wilson. He married Verna Franklin in Murpheysboro in 1925. She preceded him in death Aug. 10, 1976...

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Olen H. Wilson, 84, Jonesboro, Ill. died at home Friday, Aug. 6, 1993.

He was born Sept. 9, 1908 at Alto Pass, Ill., the son of Calvin and Emma Stone Wilson.

He married Verna Franklin in Murpheysboro in 1925. She preceded him in death Aug. 10, 1976.

He was manager of Wilson's Body Shop in Jonesboro.

He is survived by one son, Don Wilson, Jonesboro; two daughters, Ruth Lamb, Memphis, Tenn., Jennie Phillips, Henderson, Tenn.; one brother, D.G. Wilson, Wolf Lake, Ill.; one sister Stella Groves, Anna; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

One grandson also preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Norris and Son Funeral Home in Jonesboro with the Rev. James Weiss officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Cemetery.

Friends may call today from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
