ANNA, Ill. -- Olas Cook, 97, of Anna died Monday, April 21, 2003, at his home.
He was born Sept. 13, 1905, in Anna, son of Daniel and Melinda Jane Keller Cook. He and Bernice Duston were married April 15, 1944. She died Jan. 7, 1986. He and JoAnne George were married Sept. 29, 1990.
Cook worked at Anna State Hospital 35 years, and also raised cattle. He was a member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife; two stepsons, Steven and Loran Hoffman of Dongola, Ill.; three stepdaughters, Sharol Hutchison, Eileen Cruse and Jeanette Hoffman, all of Anna; numerous stepgrandchildren and great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter and two stepsons.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna from 5 to 8 p.m. today, and until service time Thursday.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Dr. Dave Soucie officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
