JACKSON -- Ola M. Ates, 87, of Jackson died Sunday, Nov. 23, 1997, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born July 15, 1910, in Cape Girardeau County, daughter of Andrew and Katie Hosea Green. She and Jasper Ates were married Oct. 1, 1938. He died Aug. 13, 1984...

JACKSON -- Ola M. Ates, 87, of Jackson died Sunday, Nov. 23, 1997, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 15, 1910, in Cape Girardeau County, daughter of Andrew and Katie Hosea Green. She and Jasper Ates were married Oct. 1, 1938. He died Aug. 13, 1984.

Ates worked at International Shoe Co. many years.

Survivors include a half sister, Elizabeth Horrell of Jackson.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Michael Davis officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
