O.J. STONE

JACKSON -- Funeral for Orville J. "O.J." Stone of Jackson will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at McCombs Funeral Chapel in Jackson. The Rev. Kevin Roberts will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Friends may call at the chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.

Stone, 95, died Wednesday, March 18, 1998, at Jackson Manor.

He was born June 18, 1902, in Bollinger County, son of Joseph J. and Rohema Moore Stone. He and Anna Jane Stephens were married May 19, 1929. She died Nov. 28, 1987.

Stone was farmer and lead miner in the Farmington area, retiring in 1966. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Jackson.

Survivors include a son, Dr. Nelson Stone of Jackson; two daughters, Mariana Limbaugh of Germantown, Md., Barbara Stone of East Prairie; a sister, Eunice Mungle of Fredericktown; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, two brothers and two sisters.
