Odelia Elizabeth Daniel, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born May 16, 1924, in Charleston, Mo., daughter of Thomas Edward and Mathilda Pearl Roach Daniel.
Odelia lived on the farm with her parents in Charleston where she was a member of St. Henry's Parish. After her father died, she and her mother moved to Cape Girardeau in the mid-1950s. She was a devout Catholic and member of St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau.
She worked in the welfare office in Charleston and had also been a stenographer.
Survivors include 13 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Thomas William and John Franklin Daniel; a sister, Anna Mae Betz; and a niece, Anne Daniel Webster.
Friends may call 9 to 9:45 a.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Mary's Cathedral, with the Rev. Tom Kiefer officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Charleston.
