SIKESTON -- O.D. Robinson, 77, of Sikeston died Thursday, Oct. 16, 1997, at Missouri Delta Medical Center, following an extended illness.
He was born March 16, 1920, in Summlin, Miss., son of Tommy and Olivia Hudson Robinson. His wife, Callie, died in 1996.
Survivors include 13 sons, Marcus, Maurice, Michael, Daron and Ronnie Robinson of Sikeston, Joe Robinson of Jacksonville, N.C., Eddie Robinson of Orange, N.J., Tommy, James, Earl and Carl Robinson of Chicago, Jimmy Robinson of Sacramento, Calif., Otis Robinson of Helena, Ark.; six daughters, Raynette, La Sandra and Kimberly Robinson of Sikeston, Velma Hardin of North Little Rock, Ark., Rosetta Robinson of Clarksdale, Miss., and Jo Ann Jones of Chicago.
Also surviving are a stepson, Marvin Booker of Itta Bena, Miss.; a stepdaughter, Jearlean Booker of Helena; two brothers, Jessie Long and Willie Hudson of Clarksdale; two sisters, Ruby Jones of Clarksdale, Essie Williams of Gary, Ind.; 59 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Traveler's Rest Missionary Baptist Church after 11 a.m. Friday.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Victor Williams officiating. Burial will be in Sunset of Memories Cemetery.
