SIKESTON, Mo. -- Ocie Marie Davis, 85, of Sikeston died Friday, June 29, 2001, at Sikeston Convalescent Center.
She was born Sept. 1, 1915, at Jasper Ark., daughter of Thomas and Tennessee Burns Holt. She and George Cecil Davis were married Aug. 14, 1931, at Lamar, Ark. He died July 5, 1979.
She had worked as a foster grandparent at New Dawn State School and Kenny Rogers Cerebal Palsy Center.
She was a member of Trinity Chapel Church.
Survivors include three sons, Ralph and Bill Davis, both of Sikeston, and Dan Davis of Knoxville, Ark.; two daughters, Betty King of Willits, Calif., and Jackie Powell of Charleston, Mo.; one sister, Grace Mize of Lamar, Ark.; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Elizabeth Banks and John Tolbert officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories.
