Oma Copeland, 72, of Cape Girardeau died at home in Cape Girardeau, Saturday, March 28, 1998.

She was born March 20, 1926 at McClure, Ill. Her parents, Everett Eudy and Julia Riehl Eudy preceded her in death. She married Henry "Jake" Copeland, November 9, 1945. She was a loving wife, wonderful mother and homemaker.

Survivors include her husband; five children: Donna Smith of Four Seasons, Mo., Donald Copeland and Henry Copeland, Jr. of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; David Copeland of Chaffee, Mo. and Danny Copeland of Jackson, Mo.; four sisters, Edna Franklin of Marion, Ill., Daisy Harmon of Hardin, Ill. Evelyn Decker of Marysville, Ill. and Mary Jackson of Roncho Mirage, Ca.; and two brothers: Bruce Eudy of Fairborn, Ohio and Don Eudy of Greenville, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Elmer Eudy and one sister, Helen Pauline Eudy.

She was a member of Faith Baptist Temple.

Private family funeral services will be held at Ford and Sons Funeral Home on Sprigg Street with Pastor Eddie Dodson & Father Clarence Bogetto officiating.

Burial will be at Lindsey Cemetery in East McClure, Ill.

The family requests that memorials be given to Southeast Hospice workers.
