Oaklynn Rae Clark passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early morning of Monday, Sept. 11, 2023, due to complications from a genetic condition, Zellweger spectrum disorder.

She was born Sept. 17, 2022, to Jackson and Amber James Clark of Columbus, Georgia.

She loved to flick her pacifier out of her mouth and enjoyed being swung on high speed in her swing by her big bubby, Luke. Although her life was brief, she touched many people with her journey and will be missed so deeply by her family and friends.

Oaklynn is survived by her parents and brother, Luke, of the home; paternal grandmother, Stephanie Sparks of Dublin, Georgia; paternal Papa, Carey Cauley, and grandma, Lucretia Mobley of Glenwood, Georgia; maternal grandparents, Johnnie and Charlene James of Jackson; great-grandmother, Shelby James of Marble Hill, Missouri; great-grandmother, Doris Amelunke of Jackson; aunts, Brittany Sparks of Port Orange, Florida, and Danielle (Brandon) Jackson of Dublin; uncle, Josh James of St. Louis; uncle, Dakota (Kayla) James, and first cousin, Norah of Jackson; and many great-aunts and -uncles.

She was preceded in death by her paternal great-grandparents, Gene and Wanda Sparks, and her maternal great-grandpas, Lester Amelunke and Larry James.

A private service was held Sept. 14, and a celebration of life was held Sept. 16 in Columbus.
