Nylahmae O'Donnell, 89, of Mexico, Mo., died Sunday, June 24, 2012.
She was born Oct. 30, 1921, in Clark, S.D., daughter of Ralph Bernard and Mary Nielsen Fisher.
O'Donnell enlisted in the WACs in March 1943 and served until September 1945.
She and William Edward O'Donnell were married April 25, 1945, at Pearl Harbor Naval Chapel in Honolulu.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Susan (John) Berger of St. Charles, Ill., Jeanette (Larry) Blincoe of Florissant, Mo., Patricia (Dale) Sluhan of Santa Fe, Mo.; a sister, Shirley (Marvin) Olson of Minneapolis; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents; a sister, Jean Wreath and Robert of Panaca, Nev.; and a grandson, Derek Jason Sluhan.
A memorial service will be held at Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Cemetery in Fruitland at a later date.
