MOREHOUSE, Mo. -- Nota E. Summers, 96, of Morehouse died Monday, May 21, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
She was born May 20, 1905, in Pine Bluff, Ark., daughter of Alexander Everett and Margaret Ada Breedlove Graves. She and Arthur William Summers Sr. were married Feb. 17, 1981, at Pine Bluff. He died April 12, 1981.
Summers had lived in Morehouse since 1936. She was a member of Rauch Spence Memorial Methodist Church, its WSCS and Ladies Single Group.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Harp of Morehouse; two sons, Arthur "Bill" Summers Jr. of Athens, Ala., Charles Summers of Flint, Mich.; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rauch Spence Church, with the Rev. Jerry Turner officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.
