MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Norman Eugene York, 66, of Marble Hill died Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born May 19, 1936, in St. Louis County, son of Joseph Leroy and Lucille Marie Lovell York. He and Melba June Martin were married March 25, 1958.
York was a retired letter carrier. He was a former EMT instructor at the University of Missouri Medical Center and director of ambulance service.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; mother of Millersville; two brothers, Edward York of Albuquerque, N.M., Robert York of Glenallen, Mo.; and a sister, Myrna Cheek of Morley, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers.
Friends may call at Hutchings Funeral Chapel after 10 a.m. Saturday.
A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday at the chapel. The Rev. Dale Huff will officiate.
