DONGOLA, Mo. -- Norman "Bob" Shell Jr., 64, of Dongola died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 1997, at his home.
He was born Oct. 8, 1932, in Dongola, son of Norman Robert and Rita Mae Sample Shell Sr.
Shell was a retired pipefitter. He was a member of Advance VFW Post 7750, and Pipefitters Local 798 in Tulsa, Okla. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include a son, Michael Summers of Kennett; two brothers, Grant and Burk Shell of Advance; six sisters, Mary Winchester, Norma Nelson, Carol Costello, all of Advance, Velma Bess of Cape Girardeau, Charlene King of Hillsboro, and Brenda VanGennip of Marble Hill.
He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Wayne Page officiating. Burial will be in Dongola Cemetery.
