CHARLESTON -- Norman Harper, 75, of Charleston, died Saturday, Feb. 8, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 17, 1916, at Bertrand, son of Robert and Hannah Thompson Harper. He and Frances Selle were married March 31, 1945.
Harper was owner/operator of Harper's Electronics, retiring in 1980. He was the announcer for Charleston High School football games 25 years. He was a member of United Methodist Church and Kiwanis Club. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert Harper of Vancouver, Wash., William Harper of Poway, Calif.; a daughter, Patricia Dylan of Beverly Hills, Calif.; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at the United Methodist Church. The Rev. Richard Combs will officiate, with burial in IOOF Cemetery.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home from 9 a.m. to noon today.
