Lloyd Norman Goehman, 63, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016, at his home.
He was born Oct. 15, 1952, in Cape Girardeau to Loyd J. and Virginia E. Hudson Goehman. He and Letricia L. "Trish" Lueder Goehman were married June 29, 1974 in Cape Girardeau. She preceded him in death Feb. 7, 2005.
Together they owned and operated Flora Creek Farms from 1985 until the present.
In the early 1970s, Norman was a member of the Cape Girardeau Police Reserve, leaving there in 1974. He was later employed as a heavy-equipment operator/truck driver for the Cape Special Road District for over 30 years, retiring in 2007.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Egypt Mills, and was also a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts of America. He also helped to establish the East County Fire Protection District, where he currently served as a board member.
Survivors include a son, David L. Goehman of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Elizabeth J. (Kenneth) Wyatt; and a grandson, Hunter Shane of Monroe, Louisiana. Norman was an only child, but considered his brothers- and sisters-in-law as his own.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church of Egypt Mills.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Barry L. Pfanstiel officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery of Egypt Mills.
Memorial contributions may be given to Girl Scouts of America or Trinity Lutheran Church of Egypt Mills.
