CATRON, Mo. -- Norman C. Sharp, 73, of Catron died Monday, June 12, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Dec. 4, 1926, in Kansas City, Mo., son of Clyde and Rose M. Baur Sharp.
He and Sue Wrather were married Dec. 18, 1976, at Catron. He previously had been married to Wanda Maxine Rice Sharp.
He served as a corporal in the U.S. Army in the Philippines during World War II.
He worked as a salesman for 16 years with Borg-Warner Automotive Co. and had been a salesman for six years with Troco Oil Co. of Tulsa, Okla. He was a member of the Sikeston Masonic Lodge #310 AF & AM, and was a member of the Scottish Rite Order and Shrine Moolah Temple in St. Louis. He was a member and former trustee of the Sikeston Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3319.
He attended First Baptist Church in Sikeston.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Sharp; two sons, Kenneth Sharp of St. Louis and Stephen Sharp of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Sharon Sharp and Sandra Farrow of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Harvey Sharp of Kansas City, Mo.; two sisters, Beverly Jackson of Warrensburg, and Jeanette Sharp of Olathe, Kan.
Also surviving are two stepsons, Bob Wrather of Catron and Rich Wrather of Sikeston; seven stepgrandchildren; and seven stepgreat-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Masonic rites will be conducted at 7 p.m.
Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Jim Guffie officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
