JONESBORO, Ill. -- Norman L. Boshera, 78, of Jonesboro died Sunday, March 10, 2002, at Jonesboro Health Care Center.
He was born Oct. 29, 1923, at Wolf Lake, Ill., son of Sam and Della Brothers Boshera. He and Phyllis Farris were married Sept. 10, 1950, in Piggott, Ark.
Boshera had been a heavy equipment operator with Union County Highway Department, and worked at Wilkins Implement Co. 21 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church, volunteer with Jonesboro Fire Department and Coal Belt Fire Protective Association, Operating Engineers Local 318, and Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 in Anna, Ill.
He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Lawrence Boshera of Centralia, Ill.; two sisters, Maxine Duschl and Jeanette Farris of Jonesboro; and a grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 5 to 8 p.m. today, and Wednesday until time of service.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Clifford Heil officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery, with military honors by VFW Post 3455.
