Norma Clara Jane Ticer, 80, 1705 Whitener, died Tuesday, June 6, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Oct. 23, 1914, in Cape Girardeau County, daughter of Lewis and Freida Bock Moore. She and Roy E. Ticer were married Jan. 10, 1948, in Osceola, Ark. He died April 4, 1976.
Ticer was employed in food service with Cape Girardeau Public Schools 14 years, and then worked 10 years at Chateau Girardeau. She retired in May 1990.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, St. Mark Order of Eastern Star Chapter 167, White Shrine of Jerusalem, Cape Court 14 Order of the Amaranth, Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 3838, and past noble grand of Rebekah Lodge 508.
Survivors include two sons, Lewis Ticer of Jackson, Norman Ticer of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Roslyn Kline of Kansas City, Cleo Slagle of Houston, Texas; a stepdaughter, Dorothy Shoulders of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Alvin Moore of Kelso, Milburn Moore of Kansas City; a sister, Lillian Kirk of Fisk; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren, and four great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today and Thursday. An Order of Eastern Star service will be held at 7 Thursday.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with Dr. Larry Gallamore officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
