Norma Jean Tackett, 80, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, May 20, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Tackett was born Nov. 17, 1931, in Cape Girardeau, to Charlie Hahn and Carrie Holland.

She married Eli Tackett in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death.

Norma Tackett was a lifelong member of First Pentecostal Church in Cape Girardeau. She was a loving, giving and kind mother, grandmother and aunt. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include a son, Danny Watson (Betty) of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; a daughter, Barbara Price of Cape Girardeau; grandchildren, Dale Price (Bethany), Richard Price (Emily), Matthew Smith, Nathan Price and Nathaniel Price; and great-grandchildren, Bryanna Wilkins, Julie Price, Mariah Price, Shiloh Price and Kierean O'Neal-Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Paul Tackett; two brothers; Paul and Lester Hahn; and four sisters, Anna Marie Hahn, Ruby McCain, Bessie Hahn and Gladys Frazier.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Darrell E. Faire Sr. officiating. Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family of Norma Jean Tackett to help defray her funeral expenses.
