ADVANCE, Mo. -- Norma F. Stephens, 98, of Advance passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 19, 1915, in McGee, Mo., daughter of Henry David and Emma Eva Mudge Fronabarger. She and Claude Stephens were married March 10, 1938, in West Plains, Mo. He preceded her in death Oct. 3, 2010.
Norma was a former Advance city treasurer. She was a member of Advance First Baptist Church and a longtime member of Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a son, Don Stephens of Advance; a daughter, Shirley Ann Morries of Collinsville, Ill.; a sister, Lela Hodge of St. Charles, Mo.; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, a sister and a grandchild.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. George Miller officiating, assisted by the Rev. Eric Shrum. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
