SIKESTON, Mo. -- Norma Jean Smart, 57, of Sikeston died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, at her home.

She was born Jan. 24, 1946, in Lepanto, Ark., daughter of Edwin and Minnie May Stephens.

Smart was a housekeeper 15 years at Sikeston Health Care. She was a member of Tanner Street Church of God.

Survivors include two sons, Sgt. 1st Class David Smart of Tacoma, Wash., serving with the U.S. Army in Iraq, Danny Smart of Dexter, Mo.; two brothers, James Stephens of Sikeston, Donnie Stephens of St. Louis; three sisters, Nancy Wiley and Helen Mueller of Centerville, Ill., Pat Cotner of Sikeston; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Carl Addison officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
