SIKESTON, Mo. -- Norma Gene St. Sauver Phillips, 63, of Sikeston died Wednesday, July 24, 2002, at the home of a daughter, following an extended illness.
She was born March 11, 1939, in Curry County, N.M., daughter of Harvey B. and Geneva P. Lilly Seaton.
Phillips moved to Sikeston in 1994 from St. Louis. She was a daycare provider 10 years at Deaconess Hospital. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Sikeston, worked in the Mother's Day Out program at the church, and was a Sunday School teacher several years.
She received an associate degree in early childhood development from Forest Park Community College in St. Louis in 1991.
Phillips was a Cub Scout volunteer in St. Louis and Sikeston, received the Silver Beaver Award and recently received the Wood Badge Award.
Survivors include two sons, Peter St. Sauver of Cape Girardeau, Chief Petty Officer Paul St. Sauver of San Diego, Calif.; a daughter, Donna Protzel of Sikeston; and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. William Koch officiating.
