CHARLESTON -- Norma Bassford, 74, of Charleston, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Dec. 14, 1917, in Mississippi County, daughter of Ernest and Evelyn Ferguson Walton.
Bassford had worked at Brown Shoe Co., and was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church at Sikeston.

Survivors include a sister, Nadine Sanders of St. Louis, and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at McMikle Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Robert Kriete will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
