NORENE SINGLETON

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Funeral for Norene Singleton of Sikeston will be held at 1 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo. The Rev. Bob Medlock will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until service time.

Singleton, 90, died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000, at Miner Nursing Facility.

She was born March 5, 1910, in Oakton, Ky., daughter of Lawrence W. and Etta Pearl Moore Ables. She and Joseph Earl Singleton were married in 1931. He died March 23, 1995.

Singleton lived in Sikeston most of her life and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

Survivors include a brother, Cline Ables of Sikeston; a sister, Alma Henderson of Sikeston; two granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a brother and two sisters.
