MARBLE HILL -- Nora C. Brown, 90, of Marble Hill died Sunday, May 7, 2000, at the family home.
She was born Dec. 13, 1909, at Dawson, Texas, daughter of John Abram and Arlena Malissa Buckner York. She and William H. Brown were married Sept. 10, 1928, in Texas. He died March 31, 1977.
She was a member of Lutesville General Baptist Church.
Survivors include seven sons, Lee Brown and William Brown, both of Richmond, Louis Brown and Charles Brown, both of Troy, Bobby Brown of Marble Hill, Larry Brown of Williamsburg and Billy Brown of Herculaneum; five daughters, Elsie Lindsey of St. Louis, Joyce Vance of House Springs, Dorothy Masters of High Ridge, Linda Weinrich of Marble Hill and Carolyn Mautino of Jackson; 43 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bobby Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
